Your bedroom should be your refuge from the world, a place of touch and tenderness, warmth, romance, and passion, an escape from the stresses of life.  A cottage style bedroom, combining tasteful and romantic antiques with modern conveniences can create a cocoon of security in a stressful world.

Antiques seem to be everywhere these days!  A few well-chosen antiques can contribute to the beauty and romance of a bedroom--a large armoire, vintage lace pillows, an antique ewer, or a chaise lounge.  Searching flea markets, Ebay, and antique shops for just the right piece can be an exciting adventure. 

The fabrics you choose for your bedroom can be soft and luxurious.  Silk or satin sheets, rich jacquard comforters, overstuffed pillows, filmy canopy fabrics, all create a sense of comfort and romance.   Soft lighting, fresh flowers, and scented candles will all contribute to a warm and inviting refuge.
